Nikolaus Demiantschuk

Nikolaus has been a pillar at DBH Law for almost 30 years sharing his knowledge of business and law with our clients.

Nikolaus practices principally in the areas of financing (acting for numerous lenders), commercial real estate and real estate development and to a lesser extent in corporate and commercial law.

After graduating from the University of Alberta’s law school, Nikolaus began his career articling at a major Calgary law firm, before moving to a smaller firm in order to develop a solicitor’s practice. In 1986 he became a partner in Wedekind Demiantschuk & Larsen, the firm you know as DBH Law today.

Outside of the office, Nikolaus has been a panel member for the Legal Education Society of Alberta and a lecturer for the Alberta Bar Admission Course. He has been on the Board of Directors of several Alberta companies and has held positions on several volunteer boards.

Nikolaus enjoys maintaining business and social connections as the Honourary Consul for the Republic of Austria in Alberta, a position he has held since 2001. In 2015, Nikolaus received the distinction of the title of Honourary Consul General in recognition of his service to Austria.
