YOU HAVE:

- 3+ years solid experience as a corporate legal assistant with relevant experience
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to develop and nurture professional relationships
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to develop and nurture professional relationships
- A Legal Administrative Assistant Certificate or Diploma preferred
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) when dealing with lawyers, clients, staff and third parties
- The ability to multitask, establish priorities, work independently and proceed with objectives under minimal supervision
- Strong computer literacy including effective working skills in Microsoft Office and legal software
- Familiarity with equity and debt financing is required
- SEDAR experience would be considered an asset
- CORES I training would be considered an asset
YOU WOULD:
- Provide legal administrative support to a variety of lawyers ensuring timely adherence to deadlines
- Create and maintain legal files and corporate records database
- Draft, prepare and revise corporate resolutions
- Organize and assemble closing books
- Thrive in an independent environment where you have regular communication with our client’s on behalf of the lawyers and excel as a client-facing assistant
- Demonstrate good judgement and seek guidance as needed
- Demonstrate the ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically and professionally at all times and exercise discretion when dealing with sensitive information
- Lead by example: with your work ethic, constructive feedback and positive attitude
