As a litigation lawyer Michael acts for individuals and corporations in a wide variety of litigation matters, including commercial and contractual litigation, construction litigation, employment litigation, and estate litigation.

Michael is skilled at guiding his clients through stressful situations while tackling complex legal issues, and provides clear recommendations based on careful legal analysis. Michael has appeared before the Court of Appeal, Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta, the Alberta Labour Relations Board, the Provincial Court of Alberta, and has participated in numerous mediations.

Prior to his legal career, Michael worked for a risk management consulting firm, and holds various risk management related certifications. Michael earned his Juris Doctor degree at the University of Manitoba and his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Calgary. Michael completed Level I of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program in 2018.

In his spare time Michael enjoys running, reading, cooking and finance.
