Irfan obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Law and Society at the University of Calgary in 2010 and was recognized as an outstanding graduate from this program for his strong academic record and his extensive civic engagement.
He obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Calgary in 2014 and was called to the Bar in 2015.
While at law school, Irfan was involved in high complexity trials as part of Student Legal Assistance, spearheaded an immigration law project for Pro Bono Students Canada, and was on the Board of Directors for Calgary Legal Guidance. Irfan graduated law school having received the Vallance Prize in Family Law.
Irfan articled at Calgary Legal Guidance, where he was exposed to many areas of the law, including employment law and wills and estates. In addition, he assisted as Duty Counsel for Justice Chambers and regularly appeared in Provincial Court and the Court of Queen’s Bench.
When not in the office, Irfan enjoys racket sports, volunteering with numerous initiatives, detailing vehicles and staying informed on current events.
