George grew up in Ottawa and attended law school at the University of Calgary while concurrently working on his master’s degree at Queen’s University. George graduated from graduate and law school in 2014 and 2015 respectively. George had the privilege of articling in Red Deer with a prestigious firm prior to joining the Alberta Bar in 2016. After being called to the Alberta Bar, George practiced as an independent solo practitioner, as an equity partner with a midsize law firm, and now as Counsel at DBH Law with a successful practice in civil litigation, real estate, corporate, and commercial law.
During his time at law school, George volunteered at Student Legal Assistance (SLA) winning the first year SLA Volunteer Award. George later served as Court and Group Coordinator on the SLA executive, which was responsible for negotiating with the Crown for resolving cases out of court. George also served as Vice-President of Sports and Clubs on the Society of Law Students, Faculty of Law Representative to the Student Union, and Faculty Council Student Representative. During his last semester of law school, George was a letter of permission student and studied at the University of Toronto law school. George is involved in many communities including serving on the Board of MGen1.5, which is a group of young bilingual and bicultural professionals, friends, and leaders connecting to develop each other and serve the Calgary community. Furthermore, George is involved in his ethnic Chinese Community whether at church or some of the local Calgary Chinese business associations.
George speaks both English and Chinese (Mandarin) and will gladly serve you in either languages.
