Brian Kot in a suit

Hailing from Saskatchewan, Brian brings a breadth of varied business experiences to DBH Law.

Brian graduated from the University of Saskatchewan’s MBA program in 1978 and law school in 1981. He started his career in business at Cameco Corp, before gaining legal experience at several prominent Saskatchewan law firms. In 2000, the booming economy led him West to Alberta where he started working at a Calgary law firm. Finally, we were lucky to have Brian join DLBH Law in 2005.

Brian lends his time to a number of associations. He was a member of the national and provincial council of the Canadian Bar Association as well as the chair of the Real Estate Subsection in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

For over 10 years, Brian was the Provincial Counsel for the Mortgage Loans Association of Alberta and an executive member of their Board of Directors. He recently resigned from the board but is still active with the Association.

When he is not in the office, Brian enjoys golf, curling and cycling. He also enjoys traveling with his wife to sunny destinations.
